Event Overview
Celebrate the Lunar New Year with our Community Chinese New Year Celebration as we welcome the Year of the Horse. This inclusive, family-friendly event is open to all ages and backgrounds and brings the community together to enjoy culture, creativity, and festive fun during the February half term.

Time: 12pm - 5pm
Location: Cambridge Tech Centre, 12-14 Fitzroy Street, Cambridge CB1 1EW
- This is a drop-in event, so you are welcome to arrive at any time. No booking is required for general entry.
What’s Happening
Throughout the afternoon, visitors can enjoy a variety of activities and experiences, including:
- Live Calligraphy
- Lunar Pop-up Market
- Art and Craft Workshops
- Holiday Games
Guests will also have the opportunity to enjoy Chinese food in a relaxed and welcoming environment. The event is inclusive and open to all ages and backgrounds.
Children’s Workshop
An optional children’s workshop is available for those who wish to take part in a more hands-on experience. Led by a Mando School teacher, the workshop includes stories and songs, as well as interactive lion and dragon dance activities.
- Cost: £4.00 per child
- Session times: 1:00pm - 2:00pm or 3:00pm - 4:00pm

Giving Back
In the spirit of the New Year, a portion of the event proceeds will be donated to CamCare UK to support community initiatives and venue operations.
